The tureen is composed of two separate design schemes: the left side includes banding of calyxes and the handle terminates in a human head helmeted with a cornucopia. The base is edged in triangular-shaped scallops. On the right the design shows a vine arabesque meander and the handle is formed by an elephant's head, trunk upraised.
