Rajwar artists of Surguja practice a unique brand of painting to equip and decorate their houses. Walls and lattice screens with naïve and whimsical figures of humans, animals, birds and plants are made with earth and straw and then painted over to highlight certain elements. Apart from rural scenes one can see Lord Krishna playing a flute while wearing a wristwatch.
