Reconstructed coarse, grey gritty ware jar, the container for the buried 4th century Roman coin hoard from Cridling Stubbs. The pot originally contained over 3,300 nummi, copper coins which mainly date to the early AD 300s. The jar of coins was found upright, covered with pot sherds as a makeshift lid.
