Catalog number USNM S 7342, a slab of fossilized crinoid specimens from the Paleobiology collections at the Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. The specimen dates to the Carboniferous (345-280 million years ago) and was collected in Indiana.

Crinoids are extinct echinoderms related to sea stars and sea urchins. They varied in size and shape, but their adaptations for feeding and sharing space allowed a great number to flourish side by side.

Specimens represented include Cyathocrinites opimus, Barycrinus hoveyi, Macrocrinus mundulus, Cyathocrinites multibrachiatus, Platycrinites saffordi, Abrotocrinus sp., Scytalocrinus robustus, Agaricocrinus splendens, Cyathocrinites gorbyi, Cyathocrinites nodosus, Dichocrinus oblongus, Barycrinus princeps, Onychocrinus ulrichi, Decadocrinus tumidulus, and Ulrichcrinus coryphaeus.
