Museo di Castelvecchio

Museo di Castelvecchio
Verona, Italy

This object was part of grave goods that were found in the burial in 1906, during construction works in the courtyard of the Miniscalchi palace, in via S. Mammaso 8, Verona. It was completely recovered, even if the position of the objects on the body of the deceased was not recorded. This gold foil cross has almost equal arms, which widen at the ends, and is decorated with a pattern of intertwined ribbons.
