Oak cupboard in two equal sections, each with separate spaces. The front has four rectangular doors, each made from four triangular panels joined in the middle by another rectangular piece. Each of the other three walls consists of two panels of interlocking pieces of wood. The doors have the original iron hinges, rivets and ring-shaped handles, with keyholes at the top and bottom right. Decorated with geometric motifs (incised lines and some circles).

Although much less frequent than the kutxas (chests), there are some fine specimens of cabinets and dressers in Basque museums built between the sixteenth and twentieth centuries. They have a distinctive style, despite clear influences in the decoration and design from other European regions.

This piece comes from Lizaso (Ultzama Valley, Navarre) and belongs to the Provincial Government of Gipuzkoa's X. Otero collection.
