Choreographer: Jerome Robbins

The American Jerome Robbins, renowned for his ballets and Broadway musicals like 'West Side Story' and 'Fiddler on the Roof', created the ballet 'Moves' for Nederlands Dans Theater. Robbin chose to strip the ballet of every element that could possibly lead to associations or distraction from what’s important: the dance itself. Everything he wants to communicate in his choreography, he states, can and should be expressed in the movement of dance.
