Dabballee Children of the Borana Oromo

Borana Oromo children in the Dabballee Gadaa category (for those between the ages of 0-8) wear their hair knotted long. When they reach the next stage of Gaammee, their crown will be shaved and they'll sport a new hairdo to show their status. The children grow up together and proceed through the stages together until they reach the Gadaa stage where many of them will assume power.
