Daddy Makes Me Laugh

This piece is based on a series of photos taken in Haiti by a friend, Sue Walsh, on an annual mission trip. The gold leaf accentuates the message of joy: "Joy and thankfulness are expressed in this painting, a common denominator in the Haitian community, regardless the many challenges and difficulties."
