This is a type of tripitaka based on the Zhou edition of Avatamsaka Sutra (Flower Garland Sutra), a Mahayana scripture, with scholia by Chengguan of Tang dynasty and commentary by Jingyuan of Song dynasty. Buddha's Great Expansive Teachings on the Avatamsaka Sutra is commonly shortened to Avatamsaka Sutra, a fundamental scripture of the Huayan School that contains the core concept that considers Buddha and sentient beings as one and not two. Along with the Lotus Sutra, it was influential in establishing Buddhist thought in Korea.
