Danda Kunda (Mortar & Pestle)

Small particles of the wood would mix with the food item when they are pounded or ground using the danda. Because of this reason, the danda is usually made of mango or neem wood to benefit from its medicinal properties. This danda was made using neem wood that was lathe turned to create intricate designs on it.
