"Danza in abatjour" by Martina Nova

Five weekends, each dedicated to one of the themes of the candidacy bid-book of Matera 2019 and told through the circus arts.
Circus+ brought the magic of the contemporary circus to Matera.
Two wonderful chapiteaux have hosted world-renown circus artists at the Parco del Castello: during the performances held in the Grand Chapiteau the public was carried away by the gestures and the narration of the artist, sometimes amazed and sometimes amused, while in the Petit Chapiteau, all distances were closed, thus creating an atmosphere in which adults and children cheerfully accepted the invitation to join the show.
There were also various moments in which, through projections and interviews, the public had the opportunity to learn about the lives of those who made history in this world as we know it, and thus, discovered the dedication and sacrifice hidden behind each smile.
