This image of Ceres, taken by NASA Dawn spacecraft, shows a 23-mile-wide 37 kilometer-wide crater called Tupo, which features a curved central peak complex and terraces. The rim of the degraded crater Darzamat (58 miles, 94 kilometers wide) is visible on the lower left border of the image.
The image was taken on Oct. 2, 2015, from an altitude of 915 miles (1,470 kilometers), and has a resolution of 450 feet (140 meters) per pixel. The image is centered at approximately 36 degrees south latitude, 86 degrees east longitude.
