Gown: Day dress in cream (off-white) moiré silk jacquard with chiné stripe in blue/white ombre effect and floral patterning in cream; consisting of
(A) short-sleeves bodice, (B/C) sleeve extensions, and (D) skirt.
(A) Short-sleeved afternoon bodice with sloping shoulders and pointed bodice; V-neckline with four and one-quarter inch self-fabric placket surrounding neckline and extending down center front in “V” shape, coming to point with bodice at hem; neckline edged in self-fabric piping; placket features two lines of light-blue silk piping following "V" and one vertical band at center front; three cream faille covered round non-functional buttons with blue silk ruffle border, applied to each shoulder; self-fabric ruching between piping on each side; four bands of blue silk-wrapped wire trim; blue silk piping edging placket; bodice front shaped by one pair princess seams with self-fabric piping; band of silk-wrapped wire trim applied one inch above “V” shaped hem; one and one-quarter inch waistband of lightweight white silk faille; set-in sleeves with self-fabric piping at armscye; two-tiered short sleeve with silk-wrapped wire trim at each hem; blue and white silk braided cord applied along shoulder in overlapping motif with bow and two tassels extending over sleeve edge; center back opening with twelve hook-and-eye closures; front lined in plainweave white cotton; back and hem faced in white glazed cotton.
(B/C) Self-fabric sleeve extensions stitched to cuff of each short sleeve of bodice; constructed of one piece with self-piping seam at inner side; three pleats at front of sleeve create shaping for elbow; slit opening at hem with two hook-and-eye closures; blue silk-wrapped wire trim applied one-half inch above sleeve edge; self-piping at edge; lined in cream glazed cotton.
(D) Floor-length full skirt of striped faille with ornamental placket at each side of front; constructed of nine panels with two narrow panels at front sides; self-fabric waistband with two affronted knife pleats at each side of skirt front; self-fabric placket applied over narrow skirt panels; four-tiered rounded tabs above hem with blue silk-wrapped wire trim; single covered button with blue silk ruffled border on each tab; bias-tape hem saver; center back slit closure with two hook-and-eye closures at waistband; back panel cartridge-pleated into waistband; side back panels knife pleated into waistband; fully lined in cream crinoline.

Pendant: Hairwork brooch with mosaic daisy motif and woven hair; oval brooch with gold-colored metal setting; metal frames front and back side of brooch with engraving on front side; center front of brooch is mosaic daisy design of green, blue, white, yellow, and orange glass pieces; back center of brooch has glass compartment that holds brown woven hair; metal loop for pin closure on back.
