Saddler thimble

Muslim saddler thimble, which could be dated around the tenth and eleventh centuries A.D.

This type of thimbles, long and very thick, were used for the work with leather or vegetable fibers such as esparto, and served to elaborate belts, belts for weapons, belts, sandals, chairs or fittings for horses.
