Definitive royal provision of nobility in favor of Gaspar Mogollón, resident of Alanje (Badajoz).

The definitive provision was drawn up exclusively on parchment in the form of a codex. The document was presented at the Board of the Seal to be compared with the copy kept in the notary’s office. Once the document was verified, and save any errors or inclusions under the authority of the notary, it was completed with the date on both the original parchment and the paper copy. It was then signed and initialed by the judges, and endorsed by the notary. The officials of the Board of the Seal would sign the original parchment, and the duties paid for sealing and issuing the document were added. It was then completed by positioning the lead seal attached to colored silk threads, as a sign of validation. Finally, the paper copy to be kept at the Register of Seals would be signed and initialed, with only the signatures of the registrar and the chancellor. Royal Audience and Chancery of Granada.
