Design Number One

This memorial will be designed to promote peace, reflection, and to educate future generations about the war, through understated, yet meaningful details.
The overall thematic tone for the redesign Pershing Park will be classical, using design elements typical of the World War I era.
The intent is to create a park that a World War I veteran would feel comfortable walking into, and a memorial that the World War I veteran would understand and appreciate.
This design style will also complement the district of Columbia's memorial to World War I on the national mall.
