Alkar buttons. Alkars are knights on horses that compete in Sinjska Alka. Their uniform stands out from the crowd with its rich ornaments and colours. The weapon they carry is also richly decorated and highlighted. They wear dark blue dolman jackets with silver embroidered with silver lines and silver buttons. The jacket matches the dark blue pants also embroidered richly and tucked into riding boots. Sabre on their left hip serves them for competition, making them look even more sophisticated and significant. Every alkar wears a tall fur hat with a feather plume. The horses of the alkari are also dressed festively, wearing blue embroidered blankets, bridles with silver medallions, and blue tassels.
