Quirinale Palace
Rome, Italy

Made in 1817 for the wedding of Carlo Alberto prince of Carignano with Maria Theresa of Habsburg Lorraine, it was decorated by the court painter Giovanni Vacca and derives from a unitary project conceived and built by the architect and decorator Giacomo Pregliasco, helped by a group of artists of the highest level including Bonzanigo for the carvings and Dughet for the beautiful bronzes. The sedan "degli Sposi" will still be used for the wedding of Vittorio Emanuele II and for those of Umberto I.
