Oceana: Detail view of terrace

Nautical detail on the terrace of Oceana, an Art Deco apartment building situated on Netaji Shubash Chandra Bose Road along Marine Drive. The terrace was designed as social spaces with viewing galleries. Building's elements draw inspiration from the surrounding context. Features like the ocean, waves, and nautical imagery have been incorporated into the building design in the form of porthole shaped openings, turret-like viewing galleries and geometric forms on balconies often symmetrical positioned on the facade.

This building is a part of 'The Victorian Gothic and Art Deco Ensembles of Mumbai', a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was inscribed to the list on June 30, 2018.
