Devil’s furniture

This furniture most likely belonged to the collection of Francesco Calzolari (1522-1609), a famous apothecary.
Pulling the knob visible in the fake top drawer, a painted tablet goes down that closes the niche where the carved head of the devil is located. The head suddenly protrudes and emits a grotesque sound.
