The Saarland mining family

The film portrays the young Saarland which had a certain degree of political autonomy between 1947 and 1957. The mining family, the hard-working men, the caring mothers, mining festivals were presented along with the culture of the country. Saarland is presented as a small partner which found its place in Europe alongside the major, strong neighbouring states of France and Germany after the war.
