The dining gallery of architect Edward Durell Stone's brownstone on New York City's Upper East Side. Through the window, the concrete latticework screen covering the building's facade is visible. A white marble-topped dining table is at the room's center; one end is anchored to the wall, the other is supported by an architectural panel matching those in the exterior screen. Over the table is an oil-on-canvas painting by Afro Basaldella. Surrounding the table are three black and gilt-framed Spanish Renaissance chairs upholstered in red fabric. A mobile by Alexander Calder hangs over the room. On a pedestal in the foreground is one of Pericle Fazzini's "Sibilla" bronze sculptures. Sliding shoji screens framed in brass and star-shaped latticework form the doors to the adjoining room.
