Various kinds of dinosaur eggs have been discovered, including those of oviraptors. Unless an embryo is found inside the egg, it is impossible to know for certain which dinosaur laid the egg. Oviraptor eggs have been discovered with embryos inside them, so this kind of egg is more securely identified than most. This egg was collected during the famous American Museum of Natural History Expedition to Mongolia in 1923.
