The massive spread of the pottery made in Iznik had a clear influence on the so-called “Kukachi ceramic”, named after a small village in the Caucasus where countless pottery shards have been founded. The dish shows an half-length figure with elegant drawn face and vividly decorated garment and hat, set against coloured and varied vegetation.
