Dismantling heavy liquid bubble chamber Gargamelle

Chamber body is successfully removed from Gargamelle, and so ends the first of the more delicate manoeuvres involved in dismantling the biggest heavy liquid bubble chamber. The next operation, will be to remove and transport the 175 ton magnet base plate to the West area round about Easter time. The magnet base plate has to be raised and installed six and half meters above ground level in the new Gargamelle building.
