In the appendix there are botanical synonyms, definitions of biological and medical terms, a list of diseases with remedies, and a dose table. Throughout the book there are images and illustrations of Lilly's facilities, farms, laboratories, factories, and products. The Lilly company was founded by Eli Lilly in 1876 to produce medicinal drugs and products.
