Choreographer: William Dollar

William Dollar came to the Netherlands in 1961 to make a choreography for the Amsterdam Ballet. Only to find out when he arrived at Schiphol that the company had ceased to exist. At the request of Hans van Manen, Dollar came to NDT to rehearse the same ballet. (Telegraaf, 4 oktober 1961).

'Divertimento' is a light and playful ballet, spiced up by show-elements. A classical ballet with a modern mindset.
