Description: This large canvas is connected to study and experimentation Frangi did for the site-specific project he created in 2010 in Bergamo, at the Credito Bergamasco, called Divine – Wallpaper. The project consisted in twelve paintings with floral motifs that decorated a room like wallpaper. Frangi’s wallpapers are not just paintings placed in a room. They color the perimeter walls, give body to the environment of the space, and create a visual journey that is in close dialogue with its specific location. The artist’s objective is to be able to guide and direct the observer’s eyes as well as their sensations. This work was made with the same support (a raw canvas that is stained and allows the traces of the paint to show through) and the same process of magnification as that of a photograph. Currently not on display.
