Meissen teapot and cover, "hausmalerei" painted by "Lauche" in Dresden. The sides are painted with two panels enclosed by scrollwork in brown, red and gold, with smaller panels in purple enamel. One panel has five Orientals in a gondola, and the reverse has an oriental Potentate seated on a dais, holding a large ceremonial banner, attended by two servants, and there is a palm tree nearby.
The cover is decorated with Orientals, a palm tree, flying insects, and flowering shrubs on a grassy ground.
