French Fashion dolls from the second half of the 19th century came with more than just the latest fashionable dress for visiting, or dining, or taking tea. Some dolls had their own extensive wardrobes or trousseaus of elaborately stitched dresses, gowns, robes, coats, and underwear. They had lavish accessories: kid gloves, hats, umbrellas, purses, jewelry, even opera glasses. This doll has several accessories that compliment her two-piece black and brown dress, including a blue silk hat, blue bead dangle earrings, fingerless gloves, a gold change purse, and a velvet muff.
