Doll:Shoebox Dolls, Hannah

Shoebox dolls recall the handmade cloth dolls that served as companions for young girls of previous generations. Available in the 1990s by Renee Graef and manufactured by Merry Andrew Toys, Inc., the Hannah doll promoted pretend play. Her shoebox home offered a brief poem that ended with "I want to whisper in your ear/ A Shoebox Secret just you can hear./ Let's pretend can end end/ In a Shoebox world with you for my friend."
