Dominican Psalter

This psalter also belongs to the substantial number of similar manuscripts from Nuremberg, which are characterised by a Dominican calendar with the patron saints of the diocese of Bamberg. As the manuscript bears a binding from the workshop of the Dominican friars in Bamberg, it must have arrived early on in the town, where it was used by the Dominican nuns of the convent Heilig Grab. Numerous Bamberg saints were added to the calendar and litany.
