The Heritage House (#60) is a recognized federal heritage building, constructed for the Dominion Cerealist at the Central Experimental Farm in 1889.

The home’s most famous resident was Charles Saunders, director William Saunders’s son, who took over his father’s work on wheat breeding. He eventually developed the Marquis variety that made the farm famous.
