A ground-dwelling longhorn bettle that runs very fast. Although not comparable to the tiger bettles, Dorysthenes walkeri is among the champion among its family members. When attacked, it will not pretend to be dead, but fight back by biting and stabbing with its long teeth. The teeth only have a blunt sting at the root, mainly used to bite females during mating, which ensures that its weapons will become better and better during evolution.
