Dr Johnson’s Last Will and Testament

This is an 18th-century copy on vellum (calf skin) of Johnson’s Last Will and Testament. It was printed in newspapers and considered highly important, not just because Johnson was famous but because he named Francis Barber, his Jamaican-born servant, his heir.
