Portable tube radio

This Bakelite radio from Zenith was sold as a portable radio, but it is actually quite heavy. This is because the radio is built with vacuum tubes, which are heavy to begin with. The metal circle in the centre displays the frequencies that can be set with the two rotary knobs. The round tuner is quite exclusive and typical of this model.
