Dress fabric of brocaded silk. With a pattern of loosely curving short-stemmed flower sprays balanced by being repeated in reverse along the length of the repeat. Brocaded with 'point rentrée' shading in five shades of pink to red and two shades of green, with bright yellow, peach and a deep burnt orange. Some leaves and a few buds and flowers are formed by part of the white silk weft floated over or bound in 3/1 twill to the white ribbed tabby ground. The 0.2 inch selvedge is marked by two green stripes in the warp and is finished with a single cord.
