Flame red rayon flat crepe dinner dress; A-line; full-length; center front bodice slit, hook and eye fastened into high jewel neckline; long sleeves, slightly gathered caps, tapered at forearms, zippered cuffs; waistline seam tapers up from natural waist to high waist center front; smocking center front from below neckband; gored, bias-cut skirt, back extending into train; proper left side zipper closure; unlined. Attributed to Valentina. Worn by Gertrude Lawrence in an unidentified show.
