Third town seal of Hamburg with original certificate

The third town seal of Hamburg was used from 1264. Its motive is only slightly different from the previous ones. Here it is attached to a document by which reeve and counsel of Hamburg guaranteed merchants from Hanover safe passage within the territory of the town.
