A Dutch Delft miniature pitcher with a silver lip and handle. This pitcher dating from the middle of the 17th century is a copy after earlier Chinese Ming Dynasty porcelain. In Dutch fashion the lip or rim of this small pitcher probably broke of and the silver was added as a type of restoration. The silver itself dates between 1806 and 1810 and was added for the piece to retain its value. Circa 1650.
