Earth history witness of Eocene

Fossils of extraordinary conservation status, especially complete
skeletons of mammals, but also birds, fish, reptiles, amphibia,
insects, skin, tissue and stomach contents etc. were found inside
the oil shale, an algae mud, that filled up the former lake.
