"Edible Orchestra" is a project about food as a social and economic value for every community.
To get this message across, it chooses music and brings the Viennese Vegetable Orchestra to Matera, a unique experiment in the world where musicians use fruit and vegetables as instruments to perform their shows.
During the workshops, citizens used raw materials in a completely new way, transforming vegetables into wind and percussion instruments with their own hands, thus, as in ancient times, using very little to make your bare necessities and maybe even more .
Two food performers from Southern Italy, Nick Difino and Don Pasta, set up an auditorium in the neighbourhoods of Matera, thus regenerating the neighbourhood, the core around which the life of peasants took place in the name of cooperation and solidarity.
