Edinburgh Central Mosque, Potterow, Edinburgh, Lothian

Edinburgh Central Mosque was built between 1987 and 1998. The original design proposals were revised by architect Basil Al-Bayati. The resultant scheme included a monumental entrance, flanked by a minaret and a turret, the latter evoking Scottish baronial architecture.
