The pouch (kamasu) for keeping cut tobacco is made from thin kinkarakawa (cuoi d’oro, golden leather). The kiseru pipe case is covered in kuzudama motif in makie (gold lacquer). The pipe case insert (called tsutsusashi or koshizashi) was used in place of a netsuke to insert the case into the sash around the wait.
