Electrocarts are electrically powered trolleys used for transporting heavy loads. They have been widely used by Deutsche Post since the 1920s, mainly in packing warehouses, train station post offices, and postal-loading facilities. This electrocart, fitted with a driver’s cabin, has a foot control made by the Maschinenfabrik Esslingen, and it had been used by the Bundespost since the 1960s. It had a load capacity of 4,400 pounds and a towing capacity of 6,600 pounds.
