The Bear and the amateaur gardener.  Fable de la Fontaine

"Capital sculpted by Pere Jou I Francisco (Barcelona, 1891 – Sitges, 1964) for one of Maricel windows. It belongs to a series inspired in fables, in particular to the Jean de la Fontaine’s fable tittled: “The Bear and the gardens devotee”. The capital shows two scenes apparently different.
In the front a bear is about to throw a big stone to the head of a man that lies asleep under a tree. On the contrary to what might seem he tries to help his friend moving away flies that could disturb his sleep.
The result, however, is that he not only kills the flies but also his friend.
In short the fable means that “an intelligent enemy is better than a stupid friend”.
In the inner side of the capital he represented a man, who reminds Pablo Picasso, with his feet in a bucket, which clearly refers to the saying: “Get your feet in the bucket”.
