A part of the river Elbe today

In some parts of the river Elbe near Hamburg, the original shore vegetation is still preserved as lowland tidal riparian forest and birch and alder marshland forests. The picture shows an example from the nature reserve Heuckenlock in Hamburg-Moorwerder.
