A Metters 'Early Kooka' Electric Kooka' Electric Cooker.

The 'Kooka' was initially rented from the Department of the Interior from 1934. It was used intermittently together with the wood stove until 1969 when it no longer worked. The Calthorpes enjoyed using it to cook cakes but preferred the built in 'fuel' stove for the majority of cooking including roast dinners.
