Description: Consistent with years of reflection on the poetics of existential Realism, Timoncini, even in his most recent production, maintains his references to urban landscapes as a tool to restore the splendor of the myth of the daily chronicle of human existence. The group of eight of his paintings at the Diocesan Museum has subjects drawn from the Biblical stories of Emmaus and the Tower of Babel. They are characterized by compositions structured like theatrical scenes, dominated by the rhythmic dialogue between hot and cold color fields and the graphic linearity of his brushstrokes, which originate in his activity as an engraver and draftsman.
